I have been a Registered Nurse for 13 years and have spent my entire career supporting pregnant people and their families. I started my career in Labor and Delivery helping families bring their beautiful babies into the world. I then worked in Public Health nurse home visiting to support low-income families in pregnancy. Next, I had my won babies and realized that all families can benefit from the support of a personal nurse. With this realization, Graceful Pregnancy was born!
I am a proud graduate of UCLA School of Nursing for my Bachelors of Science in Nursing and UT Austin for my Master’s of Nursing in Maternal Child Nursing with a Public Health emphasis. I am both a Registered Nurse and certified Public Health Nurse with the State of California.
I have worked in California, Texas, and North Carolina as a Registered Nurse working with pregnant people and their families. I am experienced in working with medically high risk pregnancies and families facing barriers to healthcare.
I have specialized training in trauma-informed nursing care, patient centered therapeutic communication, perinatal mental health, nurse visiting to reduce adverse pregnancy outcomes, racism’s effect on pregnancy and birth and how to mitigate those effects, support of the LGBTQ2S+ community in pregnancy and birth, and more.
